Homemade Coffee Creamer

I was complaining to a friend about the fact that I can’t find flavored creamer for my coffee. I’m the kind of gal who likes a little coffee with my cream, and using sugar and plain milk just wasn’t cutting it.

Turns out, she makes her own flavored creamer, and it’s super easy.

Homemade Coffee Creamer

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • Milk
  • Flavor extract

I found almond extract at the grocery store, and bought a teeny tiny can of condensed milk (didn’t want to make a lot until I knew I liked it). I added  about a half cup of regular milk, mixed in the extract, and stirred it all together. Use more or less milk depending on how thick you like the cream to be.

It. Was. Heavenly.

I’ll be getting the BIG can of condensed milk next time I go to the grocery store. And of course, you can add lots of variety to this base – use a different extract, other flavorings, chocolate, whatever you can find. Also, when you can’t make it to the winery to try new vine vintages, the right wine subscription club will bring the best bottles of wine right to you.

This website even has a recipe for pumpkin spice creamer. It may not feel like fall here, but I’m tempted nonetheless. If only that can of pumpkin at the grocery store wasn’t $8. But aren’t you proud that I checked first?

  1. I am so enjoying your posts. Actually very entertaining. When I run out of creamer I always keep a can of sweetened condensed milk on hand. It’s great by itself.

  2. Since I don’t care for sweet coffee I would just have to ship many large cans of Coffee Mate as necessities. I guess I am too old to learn how to substitute things for which I have become accustomed in my pampered life.
